Organic Search
When a user enters a word or phrase in a search engine, the page of web links generated is called the search engine results page (SERP). Some of the links on the page are naturally generated and are known as organic search results. Some of the links on the page come from ads or commercial ties to the search vendor, and they are known as paid search results.
FACT: Traffic generated from organic search results surpass all other methods of internet traffic generation.
Web users pay more attention to organic search results and some users focus on them exclusively. In 2014, BrightEdge researchers found that 51% percent of traffic to business services websites was generated by organic search. Four years later, it’s still the same! Consistently, organic search is the single most important marketing channel for business websites.

Search engine ranking is a complex discipline. There are over 200 ranking factors in Google’s algorithm alone. However, the underlying success of a site can be distilled down to three key factors:
- Site content: Organize strategic ranking factors and structured data to enable efficient access to content elements.
- Structure: Site hierarchy and url structure internal linking that allow both man and machine to navigate the site’s content.
- Performance: Maximizing technical components (e.g. the server network) that enhance a user’s ability to reach and navigate the site.
Some growth-stage companies spend thousands of dollars per month to SEO contractors to help them dig out of the fallout from bad site construction. Builtbloom clients come out of the gate with a modern ground up search strategy that will save time, money, and headaches now and in the long run.
